The Founder
Troy Kane, LCMHCS
Mental Health Education Online (MHEO) was founded by Troy Kane, LCMHCS, a seasoned clinician, mental health leader, and founder of three successful group practices in North Carolina. After selling one of his practices in 2020, he served as Vice President of Operations for North Carolina with a national mental health organization, leading clinical and operational strategy statewide. In 2024, he returned to private practice and launched MHEO to deliver meaningful and compliant aligned continuing education for counselors and supervisors.
MHEO is launching with CE courses on the following topics: Ethics, Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence and Practice Building with new content on Trauma, Clinical Supervision, and other engaging topics already in development. The platform is also growing through collaborations with professionals passionate about advancing education in the mental health and counseling field.
