Troy Kane, LCMHCS

Troy Kane is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) based in North Carolina, with over two decades of experience as a clinician, group practice founder, and mental health executive. A seasoned entrepreneur in the behavioral health field, Troy has successfully launched and led three group counseling practices—one of which was acquired by a national mental health organization, where he later served as Vice President of Operations for North Carolina.
Troy holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Bradley University and has cultivated a career that blends clinical insight with business acumen. His professional journey has included building scalable, ethically grounded counseling practices and mentoring clinicians in both clinical and operational leadership roles. In 2024, Troy transitioned from executive leadership to focus on his latest ventures: The Counseling Clinic, a private telehealth practice, and Mental Health Education Online, an emerging platform for continuing education.
With a practical, systems-focused approach, Troy brings firsthand knowledge of the challenges and rewards of private practice. He is passionate about helping counselors transform their vision into thriving, sustainable businesses—equipping them with tools for impact, autonomy, and long-term growth. As a clinical supervisor, educator, and consultant, Troy is committed to elevating the profession through mentorship and innovation.
